Top Travel Tips for Couples

Planning a getaway with your boo? Whether it’s a romance-filled weekend at the beach or lovey-dovey road trip, the pressure’s probably mounting to make it the BEST. VACATION. EVER! But it’s not always easy traveling with your partner.

My husband and I both work in the industry and although separately we navigate the challenges of travel like pros, traveling in tandem is another thing altogether. Some highlights: a major melt-down on an anniversary trip to Buenos Aires; a quarrel on New Year’s Eve on a Caribbean cruise; and a road trip when I demanded he drop me off at the airport.

Fortunately, after a dozen years of matrimony, we’ve finally learned (albeit the hard way) how to travel together – and how to still be together at the end of the trip!  So if you're planning a romantic rendezvous, take note of these stress-reducing travel tips, which I'm sharing over on AARP's Sisters.
